2008, Self-Released
Swiftly, Surely, a 7-song mini album released in August 2007 on the artist's own imprint aww…rats, is a collection of songs written and performed by Nathan Xander since winter 2006. The album was recorded with percussion from Evan Hydzik of Pillars and Tongues. Swiftly, Surely draws inspiration from On the Beach-Era Neil Young, Gram Parsons' cosmic American music and Dylan's thin wild mercury sound and finds itself somewhere in between. Straightforward, honest songwriting and a unique lyrical prowess are the priorities for Xander.
Customer Reviews

Ben JonesI like Nathan a lot. I've seen him play acoustic a few times at different bars in Chicago as well as a couple times I've seen him play with a band. This CD is in constant rotation in my car. It's good dark driving music that you can just space out to. He's got really great haunting lyrics and a voice that says he means what he writes.
