Champaign,Illnois ’Wolfie turn up the volume on their third LP,Tall Dark Hill.
The band they started in their teens has blossomed into a full fledged American power pop force.Tall Dark Hill is the proof in the pudding with Poster Children ’s Rick Valentin capturing the band ’s raw energy and unique sound.
Amanda,Joe,RJ,and Colin are all under the age of 25 (read:young). However, their love for the Beatles and the Zombies peppers their introspective pop songs just as much as their immediate influence by contemporaries Sloan, Weezer, and Foo Fighters. In fact,sometimes it ’s hard to believe that Wolfie are NOT from Halifax circa 1993 when that city ’s avalanche of superior power pop bands like Thrush Hermit, The Inbreds,The Super Fiendz, and Jale all reigned supreme.
