2000, Sub Pop
The five gentlemen of Gluecifer emerge to the in-bred, yokel-tastic stylings of 'Dueling Banjos' and immediately launch themselves into the strident strains of the evocatively titled 'Get The Horn'. And suddenly, it's all a bit familiar. Witnessing the dual fret-shredders (Capt. Poon and Raldo Useless) grinding their teeth while widdling wildly in the accepted Motor City style, the matching satin bowling shirts and the Elvis-from-hell 'thangyaveramush' mantras of the portly lead bellower (Biff Mailibu), four little words spring irresistiblt to mind: Rocket From The Fjord. That said, Gluecifer are, most certainly, a force to be reckoned with. -Kerrang!
Cock-rockin' beasts from Norway up their production values, but keep it real ugly… Norway's Gluecifer opted to keep their big-budget rock stylings sonically low-budget… For their first Sub Pop extended player, Gluecifer have managed to leave the rock n roll ghetto without forgetting their roots. Get The Horn's production is tailored to the songs, highlighting the band's ability to flesh out their compositions with dynamics. -Alternative Press
