2008, Modular
Following on from the success of 2007's expansive mind-warping compilation release Light Sound Dance, The Bang Gang Deejays (aka Jaime Doom, Gus Da Hoodrat, Ajax, Dangerous Dan, DJ Damage and Double Nolan) return in 2008 to celebrate their 5 year anniversary with the release of a new 67-track compilation - D Is For Disco, E Is For Dancing.
D Is For Disco, E Is For Dancing follows on like the younger, more talented sibling introducing a whole new level of trance travel for The Bang Gang Deejays. D Is For Disco is the more playful, eclectic of the two, equally suited for play in your cafe to accompany your piccolo latte or perfect for a session of qualudes on the couch, while E Is For Dancing is the more focused, darker, nasty little bitch created with the sole purpose of more serious, shirts off, hedonistic virgin sacrifice-style partying.
Also new to the mix this time around is the inclusion of 3 specially commissioned remixes, appearing for the first time on this release showcasing the depth of our Oz remixing talent. Cut Copy's album highlight 'Far Away' has been given a glamorous revamp by Sydneysiders Bag Raiders, Perth boy-wonder Shazam has give Sweden's The Tough Alliance a fantastic French touch on Neo Violence, while The Bang Gang themselves have given Kicking And Screaming by The Presets a fabulously banging re-rubbing.
Highlight additions to the new mix compilation include club jams from Tacteel, Bangers and Cash, Yuksek, Late Of The Pier, Holy Ghost!, Siriusumo, Underworld, MIA, Digitalism, Etienne De Crecy, Boys Noize, Kid Cudi + remixes from Mr Ozio, Riton, Switch, A-trak, Laidback Luke, Crookers & more.
