The Building Press

The Building Press was a band from Seattle, Wa. USA. We made a hand full of proper albums, home made EPs, and toured relentlessly in the 8 years we were active.
The Amplitude Of Frequencies Over Time, released by Woodon Lateral Records was written and performed by Jeff Woodke, Jim Aquavella and A.P. Schroder and was recorded by Greg Williamson in Seattle at The Laundry Room.

Young Money, released by 54º40' or Fight! was written and performed by Jeff Woodke, Eric "Erock" Junge, and A.P. Schroder. Tho Jim Aquavella had a good hand in writing a portion of this album, he departed shortly after a touring arrangement was made between the band and 54º40' or Fight! (Jim had family obligations that restricted him from supporting such a release). Young Money was recorded by Jay Pellicci at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco, Ca. I wasso sick with the flu during those sessions. I remember some writer reviewing this album and using the words "vocal diarrhea". Something.

There is a Live album out there that Emusic.com put up for us. It was impeccably recorded in our favorite city, Chicago, playing one of our best shows to our favorite audience. This recording, to me, showcases the band in its prime and features many new songs that we didnt get to put out formally before we called it quits for various reasons. I wanted to name it "Van Life". Go find it.

Eric Junge now plays in the Seattle band "Patrol". Jim Aquavella now plays in the Seattle band "Bronze Fawn". A.P. Schroder now plays in the Brooklyn band "Black Horse". Jefferey Woodke now is in Hollywood, making it much much cooler than it was years ago before he moved there. All of the exTBP folks bands are in the TBP "Top 8". Check it out if you get the notion.

If you are REALLY REALLY REALLY into TBP, I may still have a few trinkets of EPs, T-Shirts, butons, etc. laying around. Drop a line. I check this from time to time.

Thanks everybody for coming out, writing in, and just generally liking this band. They were some of the best times of my life.
