The Cigarette Girl from the Future

Chad Clark and Abram Goodrich were the songwriters for DC's Smart Went Crazy. Beauty Pill began in 1999 as a way for them to extend their songwriting chemistry without the constraints of a large band democracy. They quickly recognized the loneliness of being a duo, so they recruited Joanne Gholl. Her minimalist pop sensibility proved to be a catalyst, and together they created an arcade of new songs. Above all, this CDep is a vehicle for great songwriting and creative studio production. Beauty Pill has yet to play live but has recruited Ryan Nelson from The Most Secret Method for just that purpose. This CD also features many guests including members of Fugazi, Dismemberment Plan, Qui Vicino, Oswego, Garland of Hours, and more.
