boston’s the common cold instrumental math/indie rock with sparse vocals is at points simple, catchy and beautiful and at other times aggressive, frustrated and complicated, which reminds the listener of slint, a minor forest, paul newman, mogwai and tristeza. The swirling guitar noodling over technical drum and bass arrangements also reminds the listener of ghosts and vodka, boys life and karate.
