The Covers EP

Following on the heels of their critically acclaimed release The History of Cut Nails in America, Shortstack is back with The Covers EP. Paying homage to the artists that have inspired them over the years, The Covers EP is five tracks from the artists that have most inspired the band. These songs have been a staple of the Shortstack live show for years. As lead guitarist and vocalist Adrian Carroll says, 'These are songs that have influenced us, been a part of our live shows, and it just felt right that we took the time to record them.' The five track EP represents a wide range of divergent originals, all treated to the Shortstack interpretation. Featuring covers of The Kinks, Credence Clearwater Revival, Captain Beefheart, The Pupils (Daniel Higgs and Asa Osbourne of Lungfish), and the traditional song 'Pretty Sara,' The Covers EP is Shortstack's attempt to push the boundaries of what people expect out of a band that is classified as Americana.
