The Crabapples
Short-lived San Francisco/Oakland indie pop band featuring members of Black Tambourine and The Frenchmen, The Crabapples were at the forefront of a brief vogue for '77 punk and noisy post-punk in the SF indie pop scene during their 2002-2004 lifespan. With their first recorded song, "You'll See Me," clocking in at under a minute, their live shows would follow suit, topping out at 15 minutes, maximum.
Aside from "You'll See Me" (released on 555 Recordings' 555CD55 and as a floppy-disk MP3 on I Wish I Was A Slumberland Records), The Crabapples also contributed a song, "Right/Wrong" to Kitteridge Records' "Homemade Hits vol. 2" compilation. In September 2006 their debut 7" was released by Slumberland Records.
