The Den

The sophomore album from Vancouver pop music fantastics P:ano. Recorded over a five-month period by Colin Stewart (Destroyer, Hot Hot Heat, Radio Berlin) on 48 tracks, the record is part Broadway show, part slow pop masterpiece, part homey confessional, and all beautiful. Tender vocals form perfect harmonies over piano, guitars, percussion, horns, strings, woodwinds, and incidental noise. Includes wonderful guest performances from VEDA HILLE, TORSTEN MULLER, and members of JERK WITH BOMB, BEANS, GAZE, and STANDING WAVE, as well as a string arrangement by Vancouver New Music director, GIORGIO MAGNANENSI.
