''The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs and the Don't Fucking Cares" was a phrase first coined to describe The Kills/YYY's gig at the London Astoria two years ago. The DFC’s decided it could be better used to describe their mixture of New York 76 guitar-crash frenzy and London 77 blah blah attitude!
Definitely a band to kick start the party, their bitterly obsessive love/hate relationship with the 21st Century - shapes their underground pop songs and twisted world view. These "really gutsy Punk rock driven songs"* are influenced by Kraut rock, Black Flag, the Stooges , Velvets and American 90s guitar rock. If Wire covered the Fun House album you would be getting close to their live sound. Märta's incendiary vocals throw petrol on to the guitar-bass-drum conflagration!
