Blues legend and R&R Hall of Famer John Lee Hooker (1917-2001) first introduced the world to his own style of foot-stompin' Mississippi blues in 1948 with the release of his first single, 'Boogie Chillen', a style that would be widely imitated in the following decades by everyone from Van Morrison to the Rolling Stones.
