2003, Coaltion
Malkovich hails from The Netherlands and are rapidly making a name of their own in the underground punk/hardcore/indie scene. Founded by members of Atonement, Face Tomorrow and Remorse in 2000 the band released their debut release in 2002 in the form of a self-released one-sided 12". The Foundation Rocks CD is their follow up and contains six songs filled with catchy yet vicious tunes. Malkovich are often compared to the likes of The Swing Kids, but they are certainly a lot
more than that. Someone once said, the guitar riffs are like Black Sabbath on speed, but I rather think of their songs as missiles: sharp songwriting combined with explosive not your average riffs, hooks and rhythms. All packed up in a bad ass production. Modern hardcore for fans of Converge, Suicide File, and Swing Kids.
