The Gersch

This is a collection of lost recordings from the mid-to-late '90s, created by a loose cadre of individuals led by ISIS and Red Sparowes programmer/guitarist Cliff Meyer. Punctuated by rumbling doom blasts, skyscraping riffery, and cavernous vocals, The Gersch's sonic landscape prefigured its own place in the time/space continuum. From ringing guitars to thudding Mach waves, from buried melodies to lurching power drones, The Gersch will satisfy with sounds both strange and familiar. Plus, there's a totally unhinged cover of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's state-trooper classic, "Ohio".
