The Gift Machine

The Gift Machine is a Psychedelic Folk band based out of a small town called Anacortes on an Island called Fidalgo in northwestern Washington State. It is the main vehicle for the songwriting of Dave Matthies. Dave has provided significant contributions to reputable artists like Phil Elverum (the Microphones, Mt. Eerie), Karl Blau, and Steve Moore (Laura Veirs, Mount Analog, Stembo), taking on various tasks that include producer, engineer, and performer in order to aid fellow talented musicians and get his ideas heard. He also runs the famous Vibe Control Studio where many of the previous mentioned artists have recorded.
