The Gulf

Six songs. In the deep of the gulf, the dark water flows through Maquiladora's songs; floating, exhaling. Submerged into something foreign, yet archetypal, this EP is a sort of divine consciousness, a soundtrack for the ocean. Some sounds are familiar, others distant and remote, speaking to those from below the surface. Maquiladora, on loan from Darla records (for whom they normally release their records), swims within The Gulf, an exclusive 6 tracks release on the Spanish label Acuarela Discos, a relationship formed out of kinship with Spain’s banda divina, Mus.
