Alfred Leslie who was friends with everyone who was and still is anyone put together this "one-shot review" in 1960 by getting all these friends to contribute to the 60's version of a zine. Nearly 40 years later Host Publications of Austin Texas has put together a beyond museum quality book with some kind of crazy grant money and is practically giveing it away at $36.
It contains works by Jean Paul-Sartre, Gregory Corso, Terry Southern, Peter Orlovsky, Fidel Castro, Alice Neel, and a lengthy host of others.
This astounding document contains over 400 photographs plus a special 64 page supplement containting an introduction by poet David Leham, and one hundred and eleven authors Beckett, Pasternack, O'Hara, Ashbery, Koch Ginsberg, Kerouack, W.C. Williams and others are facsimilie reproduced, arranged chronologically and notated.
It really is an incredible object. I bought one.
