The Maulies

Following in the tradition of cuddle-core acts such as Cub, Tiger Trap and Thee Headcoatees, The Maulies bring out some of the happiest, bounciest girl-pop directly into their native Austin, Texas. Consisting of members Amy Maulie (bass), Jennifer Scary Maulie (guitar/ vocals), Carole Maulie (guitar/ vocals) and Jennifer Boom-Boom Maulie (drums), the band first got together in the winter on 1996 without any of the members having prior experience in being apart of the rock 'n roll lifestyle. But with minor fame coming from the result of a number of gigs in and around their home town for the next three years to follow, Hub City Records took recognition and released their self-titled debut seven-inch in 1999. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
