The Means
1) The Means is a Danish experimental rock band formed in Copenhagen in 2006. The current line up consists of Simon Skjødt, Robert Skammelsen, Robin Hart and Anders Strand. Each bandmember can be relegated to loosely defined roles (drummer, guitarist, bassist, vocalist, organist, percussionist and so forth respectively).
The Means was originally named Black Star Sapphire (from 2006 – 2008), and under this name the band have expressed a wide variety of influences, ranging from the freak folk scene over noise rock to avantgarde. As a result of these influences, the bands early work was very diverse and unorthodox, and was not defined by a specific sound or genre.
