The knock-your-socks-off debut by a new combo from Charlottesville, VA. A wonderfully hooky rock record. Lazy rock crit formula says Hunky Dory-era Bowie and/or Electric Warrior T. Rex showered with some Moby Grape-ish psych-rock and infused with slices of Slanted-era Pavement and Perfect-era Built To Spill. We say this arrived as a mysterious unsolicited demo and we didn't listen to anything else for a month. A small label signing war ensued and we came out with our huevos intact, a basket of roses and a wonderfully talented band to introduce to the world. A perfect record to herald the coming of spring and kick your ass this and every summer.
