2011, Matador
VINYL FORMAT. "Buried-in-the-mix vocals, two bass players, a drummer who performs on industrial parts as well as a conventional snare and kick drum, a more ominous guitar sound that The Velvet Underground, and droning tape loops all combine to give LA's Slug not so much a sound as a chaotic noise. The whole thing sounds like such fun listeners will wish they were in there pounding away and contributing to this racket. God know what songs like Sung Il Meat and Kitty Thai Spice are really about but playing Slug loud late at night will get you out of your lease. John Peel would, and no doubt will, love this." - Modulations
