The critically acclaimed 10 track debut from Leicester's TEAM was recorded on a friend's pig farm. The album was met with jaw dropping enthusiasm by the music press. 10 tracks of pure energy that calls to mind greats like Fugazi, Queens Of The Stone Age and Mogwai. Self proclaimed as purveyors of guitarnoisepop, TEAM have stamped their mark on the music scene with this definitive debut. TEAM nimbly traversed the musical rock face, leaping from hardcore to post-rock, from the dusty, nocturnal activities of 'Resonate South' to the out-and-out pop magic of the Weezer-ish 'Dead Sharks' They formed in summer 2003. Singer Dave rehearsed and recorded between stints as an RAF Captains based in Basra, Iraq. As a teenager, guitarist Scott could run the 1500 metres faster than any female on the planet (too much rock put an end to a full-time career in international athletics). Released September 2004, 'The Penalyn LP' was recorded in a pig shed and the band went on tour.
