After a lengthy absence during which styrofoam busied himself with becoming a father, touring all over Europe and doing various remixes, he is currently working on the follow up to 2001’s acclaimed ‘short album about murder’. In the meantime here’s two exclusive tracks released in morr music’s limited singles series. ‘to simply lie here and breathe’ is a granulated collision of stretched out vocal lines and minimal beats battling it out with an underwater piano. flipside ‘oh, but you are, totally’ is a late night afterthought to the murder album: a tale of self destruction backed by a banging hiphop beat and featuring sweet vocals under constant digital attack. styrofoam will be touring North America this November with fellow labelmates Lali Puna and Opiate as part of a morr music label tour. He also has two tracks on morr music’s upcoming ‘blue skied an clear’ compilation.
