VINYL FORMAT. For over a decade, Mark Grusane and Mike Cole have been a vast music resource for DJs, producers, collectors, rare music compilers and specialty stores around the world. They started individually, each with their love of music. They traded and sold music with those "in the know" for years. In 2004, Mark and Mike focused their energies into founding Mr. Peabody records. The business plan and mission was to become a world class resource for all genres of obscure music. Until now, their focus has been growing the shop. But the soul of Mr. Peabody Records does not reside in the brick and mortar store, or even in the bins of records themselves. The real genius lies in Mark and Mike's unique ear for music.

Their personal selections have attracted attention from music lovers and DJs all around the world. They play quality, obscure, heart pounding, "make you get up and move" music. Their style includes rarely played dance music of the 1970s through the 1980s peppered with a few modern day exceptions. The material for which they are known crosses many genres and is nearly impossible to categorize – you could call it disco, boogie, modern soul, funk, jazz fusion, house, new wave, etc – what's important is not the category: it's the music, and how it's played. Mr. Peabody Records is entering a new phase by teaming up with London's powerhouse BBE Music to bring their hidden gems to the forefront of dance floors around the world. They are ready to share their music with those eager to hear something different and new. Their style is like no other – definitely geared for sophisticated crowds brave enough to venture off into the wild and experimental.
