The Return of Red Emma

On this Lida Husik/Kramer/Jamie Harley collaboration from the summer of 1992, the vocals are dry, and the guitars are often unaffected. It's not what you would readily associate with Lida's later sound, but all the more interesting for just that fact. There's more head bobbing rock on this CD than on her previous two with Shimmy Disc, but the ever-present multi-layered vocals still give the tracks a dreamy quality.
