The Ruin Gaze...

Black Swan Green was formed in January 2008 in Brooklyn, New York. The four originally met in a Zen Buddhist temple on the upper west side of Manhattan during a deep meditation where Johnny Lancia actually attained enlightenment and was suddenly lifted from the floor and flew through an open window into the street. Unconscious, he lay dreaming of karmic bliss and woke to the faces of Hugh, Loren and Kevin staring down at him. They picked him up and went and got pizza and then decided to start a band. Richard, the newest member, was seized in Texas by a rogue tornado and dropped violently over Brooklyn where Black Swan Green rescued him from certain death. Black Swan Green now practice in an abandoned indoor rifle range and are all really expert shots. They all share a love of David Hasselhoff and shoegaze. They believe what sets them apart from other bands is their inept understanding of basic chord structure and theory. Thus coining the term "noise gaze".
