The Traveling Wilburys Collection

VINYL FORMAT. With a line-up comprised of legendary artists Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty, the Traveling Wilburys were an extraordinary musical phenomenon. The band's all-star configuration came about when they convened at a Southern California studio in 1988 to record a b-side for one of Harrison's singles. They had such a rockin' good time cutting the track - "Handle With Care" - that they decided to release it as a single under the Wilburys moniker. While the Wilbury "siblings" may have been fictional, the authentic musical brotherhood created by the combustion of these towering talents was anything but. Their camaraderie can be heard in every groove, and Rhino's historic reissue of Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 and Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3 (minus Orbison, who passed away in '88) - both out of print for over a decade - has been handled with ultimate care. This limited edition box will feature three LPs pressed on 180-gram HQ vinyl from RTI, with lacquers cut by acoustech mastering's Kevin Gray.
