bromide is london-based, essex-born, capri-owning, cat-worshiping singer-songwriter simon berridge and anyone he can con into playing with him.

so far there have been two albums on bromide's own scratchy records label - 'iscariot heart' and '˜no.space.anymore.even.inbetween.words'. along the way he's shared stages with vic chesnutt, mark eitzel from american music club, darren hefner and NY anti-folker major matt mason.

new album the trouble with.. bromide was produced by label mates ed and matt from spork and is a further adventure in lo-fi acoustic folk-poptrickery - including a cover of the legendary guided by voices song 'game of pricks'.
