VINYL FORMAT. This is the debut full-length release from Sweden's The Amazing. The Amazing is a group of prominent Swedish musicians who are playing or who have played with Dungen, Anna Jarvinen and Sagor and Swing. They've been called a super-group, but the band members think this sounds too contrived; rather, The Amazing is a natural process, a force of nature.

There was nothing planned in them coming together, they just happened to enjoy each other's company and started jamming together, and the jams crystallized into this folk-rock/psych-pop collective. This album is wide-ranging and spans everything from groovy electric folk rock, via psychedelic pop, to airy, acoustic ballads. One track possesses the rambling, abstract haze of Blue Öyster Cult, others the golden moments of Topanga Canyon lite rock. Nothing is introverted or overworked - everything is perfectly balanced and kept together by natural melodies and soulful vocals. The core musicians in The Amazing are: Christoffer Gunrup (Swedish singer/songwriter extraordinaire, ex-Granada), Reine Fiske (lead guitar wizard in Dungen, etc.), Johan Holmegard (drummer in Dungen and Life On Earth!), and Fredrik Swahn (prominent Swedish multi-musician with Anna Jarvinen, Dungen, etc.). Special guests include some of Sweden's finest musicians; for example, Fredrik Bjorling (ex-Dungen) and Erik Malmberg (the keyboard champ from Sagor and Swing), amongst others. This is spirited, psychedelic pop with a laidback country-drive feel.
