VINYL FORMAT. After the much-ballyhooed album Smile failed to come to fruition, The Beach Boys released Smiley Smile in its place. Although the (at-the-time) hypothetical Smile and its replacement were two entirely different releases, Smiley Smile remains a sparsely arranged, highly unusual and very often overlooked piece of work in the Beach Boys catalog. A must have for anybody who fancies themselves a fan!
