Rubber Factory (CD)
The third record from the acclaimed guitar-and-drum, delta-blues-infused rock duo from Akron, Ohio. Feeling heartsick from love's tumult, sweating bullets in the middle of the night, drinking lightning from a corn liquor bottle, sitting in a room whose walls are so blue they look black, digging into the joy-and-pain double helix of existence and finding heavy soul, kicking out a blues rock rumpus in search of salvation...this is the electrifying world of The Black Keys! As Mojo said, "Short, sharp, loud and proud, the Keys' set is an exhilarating reminder of the continued vitality of primal blues and rock: not back to basics but forward."![]()

| By far the best album of 2004, The Black Keys pick up where they left off with blusey-indie rock that could make Jack White jealous. Akron, Ohio's finest don't disappoint with this amazing relase. Check them out live as well if you get a chance, as these two men have more live energy than any 5 or 6 member group. | |
