March on Electric Children (CD)
THE BLOOD BROTHERS have always been a band that pushes themselves to the extreme: musical mayhem, bad attitudes, bad haircuts, and badass riffs. Strap yourself in and feel the limit. Here it is... the next chapter. The Blood Brothers are comparable to bands before them, but take it to the next breaking point. You cannot avoid the urgency and angst in the sounds produced by these five young lads and Ross Robinson... from the darkest city in the United States, Seattle. In the vein of Drive Like Jehu, Antioch Arrow, and The Crimson Curse.

| This is my favorite Blood Brothers release, with their technical, ''bad sounding'' riffs, Jordan and Johhny out-shrieking each other on vocals, and little strange moog sounds randomly scattered throughout the album. Thier songs are a perfect blend of spontaniety and preparation (unlike 'Burn, Piano Island, Burn", which has a much more scripted-out feel). The final screeching, piano-pounding ''American Vultures" adds the perfect ending to a seriously disturbed 'story' (be sure and check the lyric booklet!) -- pgm44 | |
