Last year's self-titled debut landed these Canadians a Juno Award nomination for Best Alternative Album, nearly broke the record for longest charting album in Canadian campus radio history, and placed on the year end top ten lists for both the "Exclaim!" readers' poll and the "Eye" national critics' poll (Canada's equivalent of "The Village Voice"). This is their second full-length and first for Sub Pop; an ambitious record combining a steady diet of '90s DC rock (like a Joe Strummer-fronted Fugazi) with du [ read more ]

When this record was first released on Three Gut Records in 2001, it was only available in their native Canada. It went on to be nominated for a Juno Award and very nearly broke the record for the longest charting album [ read more ]
