| finally! something to feed the insatiable hunger of all those knapsack junkies!! the jealous sound is the latest project from knapsack's former frontman, blair shehan. tracked by tom ackerman and john mcginnis, who also lend their other talents on a few tracks, and mixed by the renowned mark trombino (jimmy eat world, knapsack, boy's life, the hippos), this 5 song ep is a must have for your cd collection. only 5 songs??!! i know, i could have easily digested more. my copy has already reserved it's personal slot in my cd changer. all songs are extremely catchy and well executed. i was especially impressed by the back up harmonies on " quiet life" and "what's wrong is everywhere" there is an elegant touch of farfisa and piano on this little cd too!! i am partial to "bitter strings", but i think that's just because there is a texas reference in there...yet all the songs are written so well that i still cannot claim a favorite. it seems abrupt, but trust me...take a breath and take it all in because it is truly astounding! | |
