The first song is yet another in a long line of great fuzzed-out Velvet-styled gems, sped up ever so slightly to be in synch with the minds of akathisiacs everywhere. The flip is the more affecting and spiritual of the two, perhaps Stephen McBean's most beautifully crafted song to date. The music of Pink Mountaintops can be saucy, spiritual, or any combination of these things, though not usually elaborate and minimal at the same time. You get the idea..
