Better writers than me have tried in vain to describe where White Denim is at musically these days and failed, but suffice to say this record would be at home on a record shelf not only packed with Lee Hazelwood records but also Pharoah Sanders and Amon Duul. The only way you're going to be able to make sense of that last sentence is to buy the album.
