2006, Quite Scientific Records
Canada's first full-length, This Cursed House, is an ode to the band's backwood nature. A stunning mix of folk and art-pop, the album is, what would seem to be a record of the bands year long nature hike from Boston, through up-state New York, to Niagara Falls. That not being the case, This Cursed House is an brilliant collection of the bands works since its inception in mid-2005, that not only showcases the band's unique style of composition, but also its eclectic choices in instrumentation. From two cellists, to a Glockenspiel/Melodica player, this seven-piece band seems to capture an entire world of sound upon this record. "Their songs are joyous and heartbreaking at the same time and truly a spectacle performed live." - Raven Sings The Blues
