Having been together for 2 years Three Penny Opera have already made quite a mark on the punk rock/hardcore scene. They have already released a 4-song 7" and an 11-song CD/LP as well as toured the eastern U.S. and Canada with 400 Years and Engine Down. With these accomplishments you'd expect a tight, well-oiled music machine and Three Penny Opera do not disappoint, whether its live or on record they will annihilate you with their rhythmic pounding (with the help of Matt playing percussion when he's not singing) and non-stop chugging. Musically they cross many influences into each other to meld them into a sound not unlike that of Thirty Second Motion Picture and Shotmaker (which makes sense - Matt was in both) but much more straight ahead than the aforementioned bands. They toured the US and Canada this summer with Chuck filling in for Brian and Matt staying home with his family. They made it back alive and have a posthumous release on Troubleman. Matt and Brian have a new instrumental band called Slow Parker.
