Thrill

Eleni Mandell's sophomore album, Thrill continues the cool slinky tone established on her debut Wishbone. Originally released in October, 2000, Thrill features contributions from members of X and Idaho and firmly cements Mandell's reputation as a songwriter's songwriter. This is the shadowy sound of Los Angeles with more dark twists than a L.A. highway at night. As described by CMJ, "Mandell paints a sultry, smoke-and-blood-tinged portrait of the female psyche with a musical sensibility that's equal parts shadowy noir and fragile pop heartache."
