Tommy Guerrero
Tommy Guerrero may be better known in the world of skateboarding than in music. Born in San Francisco, Guerrero joined the skateboard company Powell Peralta in 1985 and became one of the original members of "the Bones Brigade" -- a legendary team of skateboarders. VINYL FORMAT. Once upon a time, the city of San Francisco gave birth to a diminutive three-headed beast named Tommy Guerrero. From a very young age, the kid could skateboard up walls and down hills like no one else. He played in punk rock bands well before he could even get into the clubs legally. And he displayed an artistry in life that few folks ever achieve. Tommy's music, like his graphic design, is beguilingly simple. Tommy Guerrero's A Little Bit of Something sounds like the former skate punk has been listening to a whole lot of mid-period Beastie Boys albums. His newest creation is inspired by the streets of his San Francisco hometown and is more sonically advanced than previous efforts, with a maturation in songwriting and guitar playing.
