Top Cop
Top Cop is the bedroom recording project of Daniel Merrill. A Santa Cruz, California native, he released a three-song self-titled EP while living in Austin, Texas, and has since moved to Brooklyn, New York where he continues to work on a full-length release, expected in June of 2009.
The music is characterized by angular lines, yelping, and the most cocksure of defeatist attitudes. Acoustic, electric, and virtual instruments share the space, continuing the tradition of the one-man-band via software synthesis and sequencing.
