2004, File-13
The Poison Arrows is produced by File 13 Records, Better Propaganda, and Epitonic's Justin Sinkovich. New to the public, the project took form in 2002 while his band ATOMBOMBPOCKETKNIFE'S schedule slowed. Sinkovich had gained an admiration and interaction with producers of electronic, hip-hop, and avant-garde and built a home studio to engineer the third ABPK album. Songs began to develop on airplane/hotel bound laptops touring worldwide and by collaborations with labelmates Martin Rev, TRS-80, The Silent League, and Sterling [he played bass in Sterling throughout '03]. The Poison Arrows pursues the inevitable convergence of electronic, hip-hop, noise, and rock. The lines between these styles diminished while redlining beats through unorthodox chains of guitar effects; and flooding the result with vintage Farfisas and other unorthodox noisemakers. The songwriting from ABPK is channeled into a new sound on this debut EP with help from TRS-80 and Martin Rev.
