2009, Nettwerk
After being thrust into the spotlight with a record deal, her song "F**k Was I" being featured on the TV show Weeds season two premiere, Jenny Owen Youngs returns with her latest album Transmitter Failure.
This album is a different sound than fans might be used to from Young's previous album, Batten the Hatches. The deliciously malleable vocals and Young's caustic wit remain, but where instrumentals were sparse on Batten, Transmitter is about playing with different mediums, layering instruments on top of each other that would otherwise have no business being in the same song together.
