Two Dollar Pistols with Tift Merritt

This very special project is the collaborative efforts of head Pistol John Howie and Carbines lead singer, Tift Merritt. After doing a couple of tunes together harmonizing all the way through at a gig one night, one thing lead to another and these two Chapel Hill country singers vowed to work together on a project of duets. The two wrote a few numbers for the EP and hand picked some wonderful country classics to add to the magic of their vocal connection. Full of emotion and soul, their performance in the studio is beyond the raves they've received from working together live. The two bands will be touring together this fall to promote the EP, and Tift will join the Pistols in a set to perform these tunes. (yep roc records)
