Uncut is a result of fortunate chemistries, of promising beginnings and waylaid expectations. Gone are the days of computer-based music. Uncut lead, Ian Worang has picked up a three new members to create a traditional four piece to have joined the post-punk revival. Although Uncut has gone in another direction, but Ian has still managed not to loose his roots. Also to heard throughout Those Who Were Hung Hang Here is Joy Division's ever-present influence.

After pleasing fans with the dance-rock feel on "Understanding the New Violence," this Toronto-area group has returned with more of a heavier, guitar-oriented sound. The quartet makes the most of a winding, indie-rock style nugget with "Dark Horse" which sets this album off in a great direction.
