2001, MOC
Suburban Chicago five piece, made up of high school friends who're just a tad older now and have been playing nonstop in the all ages
scene for the last year. Their debut is a clean 10 track album with songs ranging from a traditional emo style to very uptempo poppy rock songs. Boylion put on a
very self confident and upbeat live show that comes across quite well on this album. On songs like "What Matters Most" and the internet single "Standing
Ovation" the band goes a little crazy and uses some extra tracks with hand claps, cow bells and various other noises that make for a fun listen. One of the goals
they had when they went into the studio was to record an album they thought would represent what they do on stage and they manage to succeed with flying
colors. Their keyboard-driven rock songs come across fresh and energetic, layered but not overproduced. This album is everything a debut should be, raw,
powerful, and promising. RIYL: Saves the Day, Wolfie, Get Up Kids.
