Valley of the Giants

Combining members of A Silver Mt. Zion, Shalabi Effect, Do Make Say Think and Broken Social Scene, Valley of the Giants turns fuzzy 4-track recordings and claustrophobic sounds into a roaming, luscious new myth of the old West. After talking about recording together for years, five musicians met in December of 2002 in a studio in an old cedar farmhouse after watching the Michael Crichton film, Westworld. After seeing Yul Brynner all in black, with lifeless eyes and jingling spurs strutting across the mechanized psycho-desert landscape, they began to record music and write lyrics based on the lonely murderous robot cowboy.
