Vertebrates
Vertebrates is the name of at least two artists:
1) (Reassembled from blankdogs.blogspot.com): Vertebrates is a DIY one-man entity, aka Marc Casey of Orange, CT, mixing punk and psychedelia to great effect. Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Antonioini, Flipper and Fellini are all thanked on the insert of the "Near Water" 7". When you hear it, it makes sense why.
2) Washington, DC: stripped-down, bare-bones, post-punk-ish "indie rock" band; released one EP, broke up (early 00s?), but eventually evolved into what is now currently Antelope (Dischord Records), with the addition of Justin Moyer (ex-El Guapo, ex-Supersystem, Edie Sedgwick).
