Libretto is one-sixth of the Misfit Massive Crew, which also includes Sly Da Brown Hornet, Dubb-Flexx, Jumbo The Garbageman, Vursatyl, and Reverend Shines, the latter three collectively making up Lifesavas. Libretto's "illoet" (as in "ill-poet") style was influence by his father -- a civil rights activist, a US track and field coach in the '76 and '88 Olympic summer games, and a caring, mentoring individual. Libretto grew up in the infamous Watts neighborhood in LA, home of Dr. Dre and Snoop. He's toured with Lifesavas, Del, People Under The Stairs, Motion Man, and Kut Masta Kurt, and he's worked with Method Man, The Beatnuts, Blackalicious, Latyrx, Dead Prez, and countless others.
