Nineteen rhythms of Haitian Voodoo drumming! Recorded in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, this record features The Drummers of the Societe Absolument Guinen. This music is at the heart of both Latin and African music and this album explains the connections between the music of Africa, The West Indies and onto America. These rhythms feature heavily in dance music today, especially with artists such as Masters at Work, Joe Claussel, Osunlade and others.
